Welcome to SeaGlass Cottage in East Boothbay! Sitting right by the edge of Linekin Bay, at SeaGlass you will be surrounded by stunning beauty and immersed in nature. It is not unusual to see seals, osprey and eagles. You are so close to the water, it feels like being on a boat, and the western exposure provides you with absolutely breathtaking sunsets. There is a great 200' long deep-water dock with a large sundeck and sitting area that has a swim ladder, and can accommodate anything from a kayak to a 28 foot boat. At low tide there is a large private rocky oceanfront area (this area is underwater at high tide so please don't think white sandy beach), that is great for beach combing, digging for clams or catching crabs. Bring your water shoes! The cottage itself loaded with charm and filled with nooks and crannies. It features an open floor plan with high pitched exposed beam ceilings, and is covered in wainscotting. SeaGlass was professionally decorated and features high quality linens, including down bedding and soft towels. There is also fast high speed internet, WIFI and a 32' HD TV. The main bedroom, on the second floor, is open to the first floor and is accessed by a small spiral staircase. It has beautiful pumpkin pine floors, a high pitched ceiling and great water views. The second bedroom is accessed by a ladder and is a small sleeping loft. It has a queen bed and two small dressers. There is also a screened-in porch which provides another cozy spot to read a book or surf the web. We accept boats up to 25' at the dock. The water is approximately 4' deep at the very lowest low tide and about 5' at a typical low tide. There is no trailer parking on site. There is parking at a marina nearby for a small fee ($25-$50 weekly) which is about 1 mile from the cottage. This location provides an incredibly peaceful retreat to get away from it all and relax, surrounded by some of the most beautiful views anywhere. But, if you are looking for more action, it is only 4 miles to Boothbay Harbor, which is home to many fine dining and casual restaurants, shops and galleries. It is only 3 miles to the popular Ocean Point where you can relax on the rocks and take in the breathtaking views. One of the areas most scenic hiking trails, The Linekin Preserve, is only 2/10ths of a mile away. Also nearby is the Boothbay Country Club, the Maine Botanical Gardens, and numerous boat excursions including whale watches, schooners tours and trips to Monhegan Island and Ram Island Light House. It is also a great home base for daytrips, with much of the mid-coast's favorite attractions within an hour's drive. *Access - There is a walk of about 85 yards down a steep grassy hill. We have hand carts to assist with luggage and supplies. The cottage is not suitable for those with limited mobility. *This cottage is small, has no privacy and is best suited for a couple or small family. Guest parties with 4 adults are discouraged. Both sleeping areas are lofts that are open to the main living area. The master is accessed by a small spiral staircase. The second bedroom is a small sleeping loft accessed by a ladder. The shower has a low ceiling and may be uncomfortable for those over 6'3" tall. The setting may be inappropriate for young children, due to some steep drop offs.

Welcome to Rosewater Hillside! This beautiful oceanfront home is 2500 sq feet with a large open living area, deck and a true chef's kitchen. All 3 bedrooms have their own en-suite bath and A/C. The sunsets are spectacular! There is a private dock and you will have direct access to Linekin Bay. It's only 4 miles to downtown Boothbay Harbor, so there are lots of great restaurants nearby, but if you want to enjoy a sunset dinner on the deck, the kitchen has a double oven, 6 burner cook-top and there's also an outdoor grill. *Access - Please note that all bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Clifford House is situated on Clifford's Cove, a beautiful setting 1/4 mile from open ocean. The property is a five bedroom Victorian-period sea captain's house on 3 1/2 acres on Rutherford Island, South Bristol, Maine. The Island is connected to the mainland by a small bridge in the picturesque fishing village of South Bristol. The main house has 3 bedrooms and one bath. The in-law apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. A short hallway connects them. They each have living rooms and kitchens. The main house has a screened porch. One bedroom and bath are on the ground floor with no stairs. The main house and in-law are always rented together. The house is surrounded by gardens, yards, fields of wild flowers, and woods. It is on a small country road that sees more walkers, joggers, and bicyclers than cars. A long stand of tall trees along the road provide privacy for the house and grounds. From the grounds you see no other buildings except for the caretaker’s cottage. Clifford’s Cove is home to a small friendly summer colony of which Clifford House is by far the largest property available to rent. The property extends from a scenic country road to the water. The house is close enough to the water so that you can watch the fishing boats but far enough that they don’t wake you when they start working in the morning. Clifford House is perfectly situated for a family vacation. It is private but not isolated. It is great for weddings and family reunions or for two families vacationing together. Immaculate newly renovated home overlooking the harbor. Each of the rooms have it's own scenic view. The terrace outside has a wonderful harbor view great for relaxing and barbequing outside and even a small yard for children to play. Downtown Boothbay is only steps away where you'll find amazing artesian shops, restaurants, and bars, my personal favorites being Port of Italy and Fisherman's Wharf. Downtown you'll also find many of Boothbay's best attractions including kayaking in the harbor, scooter and bike rentals, seal and whale watching and light house cruises. One of my favorite day trips is to Cabbage Island where they have wonderful authentic clam bakes in the summer. Another activity is to visit Barrett's park located on the other side of the harbor which is a very picturesque cove great for swimming and hiking. Also close by you'll find a lovely Botanical Garden and an aquarium. Less than an hour drive away you can visit the beach at Reid State Park and Acadia National Park is three hours away. If you've never been to Boothbay Harbor it is a trip you must take, my family has been visiting this beautiful place for over fifty years for a good reason!

The property is nicely landscaped with ecology in mind and our birdhouses provide nesting for chickadees, the Maine state bird. The one bedroom apartment has been painted throughout with white paint for a clean, bright, cheery finish. The kitchen has beadboard cupboards in a sunny yellow. The furnishings are a mixture of traditional antiques and modern pieces with local artwork added for a flavor of the area. Hardwood floors run throughout the space. Two ceiling fans, four skylights, and two windows keep the air circulating throughout the rooms and help to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer. In 2015, a new outside deck was added overlooking the gardens. Air conditioning is also provided. The owner is on site so you can be assured that the apartment is well taken care of. Lobsters and other seafood are available right on the wharf. The cottage itself sits below a field two hundred yards from a country road, seven miles south of the market town of Damariscotta. On weekday mornings, the fishermen may start their engines early, but it is a brief and a minor disturbance.

This cozy cottage in the historic and quaint Village of Pemaquid Beach is located across the street from Little Beach. This two-bedroom and one bath quaint cottage is set back from the beach hustle-bustle in a quiet garden spot at the edge of a salt marsh where you can watch the herons and egrets from your bedroom window. The master bedroom is located upstairs with a queen and daybed, downstairs is two twins. Recently updated bath and living space are open and functional; large windows, grill, internet, cable and long-distance phone. Fort William Henry Colonial Pemaquid is a walk; and Pemaquid Lighthouse, Monhegan Island ferry, galleries, a full-service grocery (with excellent wine selections, bakery, deli, freshly cut meats, locally grown vegetables, and locally caught fish), are all within a 5-minute drive. Inside the cottage you will find three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, one with two twin beds; a large, new, eat-in kitchen with deck, dishwasher, and cooking supplies including a lobster pot; a cozy living room with flat screen television; beautiful hardwood floors; and two updated bathrooms, one with laundry. Outside our cottage has a beautiful lawn on tidal waterfront with a large new deck, gas grill, and dock. There are three kayaks for your use as well as fishing tackle. Enjoy our new outdoor shower after a day exploring coastal Maine! It is walking distance to all the downtown shops and great restaurants. There are also whale watching tours, kayak and paddle board rentals, seal and puffin excursions, or sailing. The Maine Botanical Gardens, Aquarium, and the Boothbay Harbor Golf Club are close by. Just a short two minute walk from the property is an amazing yoga studio which offers classes, massages, and other spa services. You can explore the Harbor and Mill Cove's shipwreck and swim at the many local beaches. Fishing on the dock at high tide is a great way to unwind. Relax in the Adirondack chairs at the water's edge and watch the ducks and heron that often visit the cove. The water view can also be enjoyed from the new deck or the patio. Situated in McFarland's Cove, this peaceful and comfortable cottage is the perfect setting for a family vacation. Set 300' off a private road, the cottage is nestled in the woods with back views of Poor House Cove. A short walk across the street brings you to the front cove and the rocky beach of the McFarland Cove Association, a private and sheltered swimming area. A short walk out the back of the cottage brings you to the peaceful back cove with kayaking, canoeing and fishing opportunities. The cottage features a bedroom and full bath on the first floor with the remaining 2 bedrooms and other full bath on the second floor. A washer and dryer are located on the first floor. A canoe is available for use by renters. The cottage is furnished simply but comfortably. We now have a monitor for heating on those cool nights and chilly early mornings. The cottage has a rear deck providing a comfortable place for peaceful contemplation of Poorhouse Cove, which is directly behind the house. With Christmas Cove and Pemaquid Point nearby (about 10-15 minutes' drive), this summer rental is well placed for access to all mid-coast area activities. Weekly rentals are always on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis. The weekly (7-night) rate is discounted from the average per-night charge. Check-in is 4 PM on the first Saturday and check-out is 9AM on the last Saturday of the rental period. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house or on the property. Any evidence of smoking will result in additional charges for deodorizing or other damage. The house is for the enjoyment of and use by the number of guests who are authorized to stay there. Large parties are not permitted. Renter agrees to use the rented property in a careful and respectful manner and to comply with any and all ordinances and regulations relating to the Renter’s occupancy and or use of the rental property. The premises will be clean (including disinfection per applicable CDC, state and/or VRBO guidelines, on the Renter's arrival, and must be left in a neat, broom-clean and orderly condition upon the Renter’s departure. Normal housekeeping on a day-to-day basis will be performed by the Renter. For rentals of two weeks or more, cleaning and other maintenance performed by the owners will occur on a biweekly basis. Pet Policy:  No pets unless specifically allowed by owners (contact in advance). Well water: All the cottage water comes from a well. Please be mindful of use and not to waste water needlessly. Loss, theft, or personal property damage: The Owner is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the Renter’s belongings while staying at our cottage. Such coverage may be available through the Renter’s homeowner’s policy or through a separate Renter's insurance policy. The Renter Accepts Full Responsibility and Risk for use of the cottage and the canoe or other watercraft provided for use. The Owner is not in any way legally accountable for any damages or injury to any persons or property resulting from such use. By using such facility or property, the Renter and any guests implicitly agree to assume all responsibility for such use. The Renter agrees to indemnify the owners against all liability arising from use (or that of any guests of the Renter) of the property, without limitation. The Renter Agrees To Notify Owner Immediately of any repairs needed to plumbing, electrical, or other systems. Emergency numbers will be provided on arrival. Owner reserves the right to make repairs as necessary, and to enter the property with reasonable notice, or without notice if Renter cannot be reached. Maximum Occupancy: A maximum of 5 (five) people (adults and children) may be overnight occupants of the cottage. The bedrooms are to be used solely for sleeping. The living room couch is not available for overnight use. Large gatherings, house parties, and other such events are not allowed. Renters are not permitted to sublet the cottage. Any disturbance that results in neighborhood complaints, police action, involves illegal activities, causes damage to the property, or violates this Agreement or the rules and regulations governing the property will be considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of the rental agreement and all monies paid will be forfeited. This agreement does not create a tenancy for the property; therefore, the Renter can be legally removed from the property without process of law if the Renter does not leave at the appropriate time. No Guarantees: The Owners have presented as accurate a picture as possible of the accommodations. The Renter should keep in mind this is a summer cottage typical of a Maine camp; it does not provide luxuries found in hotels and finished homes. It is comfortable, but not luxurious. The Owner is not responsible if the Renter is unhappy with the cottage, décor, weather or other factors beyond the Owner’s control.

Fort William Henry: Fabulous must see spot....for the historian in you of colonial life in Northern New England.Early settlement provided Cod for Europeans in 1600's made this an important British claim. Museum is rich with artifacts and short 15 minute movie of Pemaquid settlement. Fort sports a self guided tour of settlement gives an idea of how daily life was conducted. Monday night Historical Lectures Series, Special events and lantern tours. Pirate Dixie Bull once raided the settlement, hurricane sunk the Angel Gabriel, Native Americans/French traded and fought with British. Maine TV crews had been filming Maine Archeologist at dig this past summer Archeologists still working at the dig. Picnic basket, blanket and a bottle of wine included at cottage.
